Moorland Mohair has been created as a natural alternative to conventional sock yarns – refined, comfortable and sustainable. Spun in Britain from 80% Bluefaced Leicester and 20% Mohair, it offers a gentle lustre, a soft hand feel and a touch of halo, giving your work an understated elegance. One ball is enough for one pair of socks.
Bluefaced Leicester is one of the most prized British wools, valued for its softness, durability and the way it takes colour with a natural glow. The addition of Mohair lends a fine sheen and light texture, making socks feel both cosy and refined.
Though designed with socks in mind, Moorland Mohair also lends itself beautifully to shawls, lightweight jumpers or tunics – projects where softness, drape and lightness are key. Erika Knight’s carefully curated palette complements the fibre’s natural character and reflects her “Born in Britain” ethos.
Because of the fine two-ply twist, stitches may look a little uneven while knitting. After washing, the fabric settles into an even, beautifully balanced surface.
Made in Britain, exclusively for Erika Knight Yarns.
